Lovers of MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, the winner of many major awards in 2015; are you likely to be disappointed with FURIOSA; A MAD MAX SAGA? Not likely. FURIOSA is every bit as good, and while international opinion is split, the latter is better, in my opinion.
While James Cameron may be the master of the aquatic blockbuster, George Miller is his equal when it comes to "big flicks" on parched desert land. And as usual he takes us into a new World Order. An order where fuel supply rules, and cruelty among tribes seeking the liquid gold, is brutal. This prequel gives us insight into the roots of Theron's Furiosa (FURY ROAD) via newcomer Alya Brown (young Furiosa) then the feisty Anya Taylor Joy. "So that's how she lost her arm"!!
The baddy here is Dr Dementus.Chris Hemsworth throws away his superhero halo for meanness. It works. But the star is Miller. He is the king of creating rampaging Wasteland Warlords in a bleak future. I compare him to Cameron unabashedly. 10GUMS.
